For the Michigan Road Scholars program, I partnered with administrators to architect and implement a custom web-based application management system. Built on WordPress with advanced database integration, the platform streamlines applicant tracking, tour logistics, and secure data collection. A fully customized user interface, developed with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, provides administrators with intuitive tools for managing participants and program operations.
The Michigan Road Scholar (MRS) Tour is a five-day traveling seminar designed exclusively for University of Michigan (U-M) faculty. This immersive educational experience highlights the State of Michigan’s economy, government and politics, culture, educational systems, health and social issues, history, and geography, helping participants build a deeper understanding of the communities they serve.
With the application snapshot feature, administrators can quickly access detailed applicant data, including professional profiles, research interests, and personal backgrounds. This functionality allows program coordinators to align participants with tour locations where their expertise or interests may create meaningful engagement.

The administrator master controls centralize all aspects of tour management. Participants securely submit health information, background credentials for site access, and dietary preferences, ensuring smooth coordination with government facilities, hotels, and partner organizations. This all-in-one solution enhances efficiency, security, and the overall participant experience for the Michigan Road Scholar Tour.
